Hello there and thank you for visiting Connecticut Pistol Training. My name is Mike Lawrence and I am a married father of 4. Born and raised in New Jersey, we moved to Milford, Connecticut in 2014.
As a young child, my father was a police officer and would periodically take my older brother and me to the range. I would stay in the car and rarely go out on the range with him. Over time that changed. As an adult, I would go to the range and rent firearms to shoot with friends or instructors. Eventually, as a much older adult, I landed in Connecticut where it is easier to obtain a permit to carry (believe it or not) and I was off and running. No more renting firearms for the hour. I took this responsibility seriously and practiced/trained as much as possible and ultimately became an NRA Certified Instructor!
As an NRA Certified Instructor, I will teach you the basics of pistol and revolver safety and operation. If you are looking to obtain your Connecticut Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers, the NRA Basic Pistol Course is a requirement. I offer a small, intimate setting where you can learn and feel comfortable. Once you attend my course, you will have a coach for life! I will remain available for advice and questions. I am also available for private lessons to help transition you to a point in which you are comfortable carrying your firearm. I take my duty seriously and will dedicate myself to you.
